Everybody stay calm… okay, actually, don’t stay calm — Jodie Comer is officially returning to Prima Facie and taking her Olivier and Tony Award-winning performance on tour across the UK and Ireland in 2026!
Prima Facie is Suzie Miller’s powerhouse one-woman show, which had critics throwing all the gold stars and awards at it. Jodie was at the center, delivering a jaw-dropping performance that broke hearts, blew minds, and probably caused a collective standing ovation-induced leg cramp across London and Broadway.
Jodie will once again step into the shoes of Tessa — a brilliant, fiery barrister from a working-class background who can cross-examine anyone into submission. But when her personal world collides with the patriarchal power of the law, she’s forced to question everything she thought she knew about justice, truth, and power.
Jodie herself summed it up perfectly:
“It is a huge privilege to return to Prima Facie for one last time and take this important play on tour… including my hometown of Liverpool. On a personal note, I can’t think of a better finale to what has been such an incredible and deeply rewarding chapter in my life.”
The play will once again be directed by the brilliant Justin Martin, with a creative team that’s basically the Avengers of theatre — featuring Self Esteem’s Rebecca Lucy Taylor on music (get ready for goosebumps), design by the phenomenal Miriam Buether, and a whole dream team handling lighting, sound, video, and coaching.
But this tour isn’t just about delivering knockout theatre — it’s also about starting conversations. Prima Facie will continue its partnership with two incredible charities:
- The Schools Consent Project teaches 11–18-year-olds about the legal definition of consent and empowers them to own their boundaries (over 80,000 students have reached so far — and counting!)
- Everyone’s Invited, the powerful platform created by Soma Sara for survivors to share stories anonymously and foster a culture of empathy, education, and change.
Producer James Bierman put it best:
“Creating safe spaces for people to share their stories and be heard is vital… By educating young people, the Schools Consent Project team are making the future a better place.”
Prima Facie has already set records with NT Live cinema releases and, honestly, this tour feels like the ultimate victory lap — but with purpose. If you missed it the first time around, this is your moment. If you saw it and cried into your sleeve, well, get ready to do it all over again.
