Whenever Gillian Godden’s name pops up with a new book, you just know it’s going to be a good read and Turf War does not disappoint.
Turf War is the second book in The Silvas series and focuses on Alex, who has just got out of prison and finds his kids have been attracting the type of trouble he’d rather stay away from.
This maybe one of the most deliciously menacing and immersive reads that Gillian has written to date. It draws you in and you feel like you are really there with Alex as all the drama unfolds.
Might just be my personal favourite Gillian Godden book to date!
