The Fugs have released their first new music togther since the mid ’00s with Black Heart. The Fugs are a three-piece psych and garage band comprising lifelong friends Francis Harker, Adrian Timbers and Greg Phizacklea.
Though they stepped away from releasing music, the three never stopped being involved in music; they continued DJing at parties and festivals, and Greg became part of the founding team behind beloved Hackney institutions EartH and Village Underground.
The band are gearing up to release their EP Speak Your Mind, which was recorded at home and in the basement studio at EartH, a space specifically designed to give young people in the Hackney area hands-on studio experience. The EP was mastered by EartH sound engineer Dom Di Tomasso at his analogue studio in Circeo, Italy.
