What if finding the love you’re looking for meant leaving Earth altogether?
That’s the idea behind Take Me Away, the new single from British singer-songwriter LLORÉN, who is preparing to take listeners on an intergalactic adventure with her upcoming album Love Is Alien (To Me).
The album will be released across three chapters, beginning with Chapter 1: Planning The Escape on 9 December, and promises to explore some very human experiences through the wonderfully imaginative world of science fiction.
Love, heartbreak, family, loss and belonging are all part of the story, with LLORÉN using the idea of travelling beyond Earth to explore the relationships and experiences that shape our lives.
And it all begins with Take Me Away.
Written and produced alongside Anna Schulze, the single combines LLORÉN’s powerful vocals with dramatic production and a soaring chorus, creating a song that embraces both the excitement and uncertainty of wanting to escape.
“I think we’ve all wanted to eject ourselves from the planet at some point or another,” LLORÉN explains. “The question remains, would whatever’s out there be better than this?”
“Take Me Away is fun, it’s romantic, and it’s silly, but in a ‘this isn’t all that silly’ kind of way!”
It’s a concept that gives LLORÉN plenty of room to be creative, particularly as Love Is Alien (To Me) isn’t simply an album with a space-inspired theme. Each song contributes to a larger narrative, with the three chapters gradually revealing the story.
In Chapter 1: Planning The Escape, LLORÉN prepares to leave Earth in search of a different kind of love. What she discovers along the way will unfold through the remaining chapters.
Storytelling has long been an important part of LLORÉN’s music, something reflected in the impressive number of television productions that have featured her songs.
Her work has appeared in Grey’s Anatomy, Sullivan’s Crossing, The L Word, Love Island and The Traitors, as well as productions for Netflix, Disney and HBO Max. She’s also had music featured in advertising campaigns for T-Mobile and Kay Jewelers in the United States.
It’s an impressive collection of placements, particularly for an artist whose music lends itself so naturally to the emotional moments that make television and film memorable.
Alongside her success in television, LLORÉN has continued developing her own catalogue, releasing her debut album It’s Always Sunny In LA and the two-part Lovesick EP.
Her music has received support from BBC Radio 2, Radio X, Amazing Radio and BBC Radio London, while her live performances have taken her to Radio 1’s Big Weekend, the Isle of Wight Festival and Pride celebrations in London and Manchester.
Now, with Love Is Alien (To Me), LLORÉN is putting her passion for cinematic storytelling at the centre of an entire album.
There’s something particularly exciting about an artist choosing to tell a story across several releases, giving listeners the opportunity to discover each part before hearing how everything connects.
And with Take Me Away introducing a journey that begins by leaving Earth, LLORÉN certainly has plenty of possibilities to explore.
Take Me Away is available to listen to now, with Chapter 1: Planning The Escape arriving on 9 December 2026.
