The Prodigal Son works well as a standalone novel and is very enjoyable despite being the fifth and final book in The Shadow of Raven series.

Full of love, murder, treachery and everything else in between, you can tell with every words that Chris researched meticulously to write these books and make them as factual as possible. It’s historical fiction at it’s absolute best!
