Arum Flowers has shared her new single ‘No Quieres’. ‘No Quieres’ follows on from debut single ‘Magnetic’ which was released back in March.
The new single was written by Arum and was produced by Ben Esser. Drawing inspiration from a rich array of cultures, Arum is deeply involved with every element of the creative process, from production and songwriting to the visual aesthetic that accompanies her music.
Her luscious vocal providing the special spark to bring the track’s cocktail of sensual R&B, Latin-tinged beats and modern pop to life. Featuring vocals split between English and Spanish, ‘No Quieres’ (which loosely translates as ‘You Don’t Want’) captures the heady rush of falling deep into a summer romance while being fully aware that it might not last.
Talking about the track Arum said “Growing up in Mallorca, I was inspired to create a song that encapsulates that nostalgic island summer feeling. To me, the song is a constant duality between bittersweet lyrics that speak about a rekindling summer romance and the fun, light, upbeat rhythm of the song defining those carefree moments. Listening to the song always transports me back to that space in time and I hope that feeling is palpable.”
