Will Linley has released his new single Blame. The new track has been released via Island Records.

Will says, “Blame is something new and something different. It feels like a step in a new direction whilst still holding true to my sound and what I want to create. It’s a song about the intricacies of having to step away from someone that you love and the pain that comes with that process. It’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written and I am so excited for everyone to hear it.”

Brought up in Cape Town as the youngest member of a musical family, 22-year-old musician/songwriter Will L grew up playing violin and viola before teaching himself piano and guitar.

He began to write songs in high school, inspired by pop singer-songwriters such as Dean Lewis, Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran. Will first gained traction on TikTok, leading to an airplay #1 in South Africa with the Gold-certified “miss me (when you’re gone).” International acclaim soon followed, along with his debut EP kill all my feelings

Blame is new music is the first since last year Magic EP – a collection of “sad-pop” songs, mastering the art of mixing raw, emotional lyrics over cheery, dance-y beats. The EP features previously released singles “Maybe,” “Gracie,” “Tough (The Girls Song),” and most notably “Last Call.

Will head out on his headline tour of the US later this year. The Magic Tour begins in July and will visit Nashville, Washington, New York, Massachusetts and Chicago. As well as a date in Canada.
