One of the hottest rising bands of the moment, South Arcade are taking us back to 2005 with their new track.
With over 2.6million streams already on 2005, over 12 million streams across their EP and almost 800,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone, 9.9million likes on TikTok, frequent plays and support at Radio 1 and a show at London’s iconic KOKO that sold out almost immediately, they are certainly a force to be reckoned with.
Self-produced by the band and mixed by multi-platinum and multi-Grammy Award winning producer Rich Costey ( 2005 is the title track from the bands recently released debut EP, which includes stone cold summer, MOTH KIDS and HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER.
The video is a fun watch as it’s absolutely full of early noughties references and each time you watch it you spot something new.
While the song pays homage to a year that was TWO DECADES ago (yes we do feel old writing that), 2025 is set to be a phenomenal year for South Arcade who are gearing up for some of their biggest shows to date in Manchester and London – both of which sold out in minutes.
Following these shows, they head straight out on the road as the support for American singer songwriter and musician Bilmuri’s huge European Tour and then head to the US with American pop-punk band Magnolia Park for over 25 dates.
This Summer they play Slam Dunk in May and following a riotous headline of the BBC Introducing stage in 2024, they were invited back onto the main stage at Reading & Leeds this year! Anyone else exhausted just reading this? But what it means is there are lots of opportunities to see the band play live!
