It’s time to say goodbye to Downton Abbey, as the poster for the final movie, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, has been released.

The first poster for the aptly titled Grand Finale has been released. “It’s time to say goodbye,” the tagline reads on the poster, which shows Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) wandering down the hall of the much-loved Downton Abbey in a stunning red dress with her back to the camera.

Julian Fellowes, the creator of the TV series and writer of the first two films, returns to write this third outing for the popular show. The movie is directed by Simon Curtis, who was also responsible for 2022’s Downton Abbey: A New Era.”

Many of the much loved cast are returning for the final movie including: Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Michael Fox, Joanne Froggatt, Paul Giamatti, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Lesley Nicol, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Beale, Dominic West, Penelope Wilton, Arty Froushan, Joely Richardson, Paul Copley and Douglas Reith.

Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale opens in cinemas on September 12, 2025.
