Cupcakes and Kisses in Micklewick Bay is a well-written, grounded contemporary romance. It isn’t a story driven by lots of drama or over-the-top twists. It focuses on persistence, responsibility, and the slow, often complicated process of learning to trust again.
Micklewick Bay provides a lovely backdrop. The town feels like one you would live in or go visit friends who live there.. Locals come with their personalities and quirks, and the community aspect of the story adds substance without detracting from the main narrative.
It’s such a nice addition to the Micklewick Bay series and is a must-read for anyone who has enjoyed the series or loves character-driven stories.
