Manchester band Shade have recently released their latest single, Neverdie.
The band wrote Neverdie in 2016, at just 15 years old. They were endlessly playing gigs around Manchester. And this is the song that started it all for them.
Written and produced by ‘SHADE’s very own Luke Anthony Owens, the track has been treasured throughout the years by many and has moulded and changed throughout the years to reflect the band’s evolving sound.
Neverdie’ is an enticing and thought-provoking summer anthem that explores lyrically the immortality of indie rock n’ roll.
Each line of the track references the most influential rock ‘n’ roll tunes of all time, evoking a sense of nostalgia for what the genre truly was and has become.
With the release of Neverdie, 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for Shade. They are close to selling out the respected and well-known music venue Gorilla in Manchester. And there are many more music releases to come.
