Callum Beattie has announced details of his new album INDI, which will be released on 23 January 2026 via Cooking Vinyl.
The news follows the recent announcement of his biggest headline show to date, taking place at Glasgow’s 14,000-capacity OVO Hydro on 22 November.
The album’s lead single Two Pretenders is out now. The track introduces a new chapter for Callum, building on the momentum of his previous record Vandals, which reached the UK Albums Chart and topped the Scottish Albums Chart. Over the past year, he has surpassed 50 million career streams and sold more than 100,000 tickets across Scotland.
Produced by Joe Cross (Courteeners, The LaFontaines, Louis Tomlinson), INDI represents Callum’s most personal and direct work to date. Written around themes of identity, inner conflict and emotional resilience, the record pairs confessional songwriting with a fuller, more expansive indie-rock sound.
Where Vandals introduced a more stripped-back, storytelling approach, INDI leans into arena-ready arrangements, combining sharp production with a raw vocal performance. Musical influences range from Sam Fender and The Killers to Bruce Springsteen and The War on Drugs, while retaining a distinct sense of place and voice rooted in Callum’s own experience.
Two Pretenders opens the album, setting the tone for what follows — an unfiltered track that explores emotional duality and personal reckoning. While Callum has worked in the indie-rock space before, the single signals a shift in scale and sound.
Fans who pre-order ‘INDI’ from his official website will gain access to a pre-sale for tickets for next year’s tour dates in England. The pre-sale will open at 10am on Wednesday, September 17th before any remaining tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, September 19th.
