Storm Of Mercia is a fantastic read. It draws you in from the first page and recaps enough that you know what’s going on without having to read previous books in the series. Although I do recommend reading the others as it really does enrich the reading experience.
MJ Porter has this wonderful talent of making you feel like this isn’t just a story being told but is something you are watching unfold right in front of you.
It’s extremely well researched and full of action that keeps you reading and wanting to know more about Icel.
If you enjoy historical fiction then this a series you need to read!
