Riley Green has released the official music video for Think As You Drunk, the latest track to be lifted from his forthcoming album, That’s Just Me, due for release on 18 September.
Filmed at Riley’s Duck Blind venue in Nashville, the video embraces the playful spirit of the song. What starts as a quiet night out soon descends into a series of increasingly chaotic moments after one drink too many, eventually leading Riley onto the stage in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Fans might also spot a familiar face, with Riley’s corgi, Carl, making a cameo appearance.
Released earlier this summer, Think As You Drunk blends humour with classic country storytelling, while also paying tribute to the late Toby Keith. Written by Riley alongside Jessi Alexander, Erik Dylan, Wyatt McCubbin, Scotty Emerick and Toby Keith, the track captures the easy-going, good-time energy that’s become a hallmark of Riley’s music.
The single joins previously released tracks My Way and Go Again featuring Hannah McFarland as part of That’s Just Me, an album recorded during one of the busiest periods of Riley’s career.
Away from the studio, there’s plenty still to come. Riley recently announced additional dates for his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, made his acting debut in the CBS drama Marshals and is set to appear as a coach on the upcoming season of The Voice.
If Think As You Drunk is anything to go by, That’s Just Me looks set to showcase another side of Riley Green’s songwriting. While previous singles have leaned into heartfelt ballads and reflective storytelling, this latest release proves he hasn’t lost his sense of fun either.
