YEONJUN has released his second solo mini album, NO LABELS: PART 02, alongside the music video for its lead single, Ice Cream.
The six-track project builds on the foundations of NO LABELS: PART 01, continuing YEONJUN’s solo journey while exploring a wider mix of sounds and influences. Across the album, he moves between rap rock, funk rock, R&B, pop and alternative hip hop, once again taking an active role in both the songwriting and choreography.
Leading the release is Ice Cream, a playful summer track that compares the excitement – and unpredictability – of romance to everyone’s favourite frozen treat. Backed by vintage-inspired drums, infectious bass lines and bright guitar riffs, the song balances light-hearted moments with lyrics that hint at the complications that can come with falling for someone.
The accompanying music video leans into that playful concept, using familiar everyday settings and expressive choreography to bring the song’s story to life. Rather than relying on large-scale production, the focus remains firmly on performance and personality.
Elsewhere on the album, each track explores a different side of YEONJUN’s artistry. Vanilla follows someone searching for something beyond the familiar, while Baby Wassup? captures the awkward excitement of trying to get closer to a crush. No More Disco explores an unexpected connection through music, Fxxking Star brings a heavier, rock-inspired energy, and closing track Long Way Long Ride offers a more reflective ending as YEONJUN turns his thoughts towards his own journey.
The release comes ahead of a busy few months for the artist. He is set to perform as part of the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series in August, becoming only the second K-pop solo artist to appear on the programme, before taking to the stage at KCON LA and reuniting with fellow TOMORROW X TOGETHER members as one of the festival’s headline acts.
While fans will already know YEONJUN as one-fifth of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, NO LABELS: PART 02 offers another chance to see what he brings as a solo artist. If this latest release proves anything, it’s that he’s just as comfortable experimenting with different sounds as he is commanding the stage.
