Ella Langley is celebrating another landmark moment after her hit single Choosin’ Texas set a new Billboard record in the United States.
The track has now spent 15 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the longest-running chart-topper by a female artist without a featured collaborator outside of seasonal Christmas songs. In doing so, it surpasses previous records held by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
The song’s success is also continuing across the Atlantic. Choosin’ Texas is currently sitting at No. 3 in the UK Official Singles Chart midweeks, putting it on course for its highest chart position to date. Already the UK’s biggest country single of 2026, it has spent five weeks inside the Top 10 and recently received Gold certification after passing 400,000 UK sales.
The momentum follows the success of Ella’s Dandelion album, which reached No. 7 on the UK Official Albums Chart earlier this year. Several tracks from the record have also found chart success, including Be Her, Bottom of Her Boots and I Can’t Love You Anymore with Morgan Wallen. Earlier releases have continued to perform strongly too, with Weren’t For The Wind earning Silver certification and You Look Like You Love Me, featuring Riley Green, achieving Gold status in the UK.
With more than 564 million Spotify streams for Choosin’ Texas alone, Ella’s audience continues to grow on both sides of the Atlantic.
That momentum is set to continue later this year as Ella returns to the road for the second leg of her North American Dandelion tour, running from August through to October.
For an artist who has steadily built her audience over the past few years, Choosin’ Texas has become a defining breakthrough moment. If its success in both the US and UK is anything to go by, Ella Langley’s remarkable rise is only just getting started.
