Daisy Tomlinson is bringing a little extra style to Doncaster Racecourse this September, creating the official Ladies’ Day Style Guide as the Betfred St Leger Festival celebrates a pretty incredible milestone.

The Doncaster-born beauty, fashion and lifestyle creator has put together this year’s guide around the theme Timeless Style: Create a look that lasts as long as the Leger, as the world’s oldest Classic prepares to celebrate the 250th running of the St Leger Stakes.

And honestly, could there be a better year to celebrate the fashion that never really goes out of style?

Taking inspiration from some of the most iconic looks of decades gone by, Daisy’s guide is all about finding those pieces you’ll still love long after Ladies’ Day is over – rather than buying into every trend simply because everyone else is wearing it.

From the bold prints and flowing silhouettes of the ’70s and statement tailoring of the ’80s to the effortless minimalism of the ’90s, Daisy encourages racegoers to take a little inspiration from fashion history while still making their outfit completely their own.

Because timeless doesn’t have to mean boring.

For Daisy, a midi dress, beautifully cut blazer or blazer dress, classic court heels and a structured handbag are all brilliant places to start. Add a pop of colour, play around with accessories and suddenly those wardrobe staples feel completely different.

Although there is one part of a Ladies’ Day outfit where Daisy is very much in favour of going all out – the hat.

And we’re with her on that one. There aren’t many occasions where an enormous, fabulous hat is actively encouraged, so you might as well take advantage of it.

There is something so exciting about getting dressed up for a day at the races, especially Ladies’ Day!” Daisy said. “It’s one of those occasions where you can really have fun with fashion, get glammed up and wear something that makes you feel amazing.

My biggest piece of advice? Don’t feel like you have to follow every trend; the best outfits will always be the ones that feel timeless, reflect your personality and make you feel like the best version of yourself.”

It’s particularly lovely that Daisy has been chosen to create the guide this year given her own connection to Doncaster and the festival.

Growing up in Doncaster, the Betfred St Leger Festival has always been such a big event, so being asked to create this year’s Ladies’ Day Style Guide feels really special,” she shared.

“Knowing it’s also celebrating the 250th running of the St Leger makes it even more exciting to be involved, and I can’t wait to be part of such a landmark year for the Festival.”

And she won’t just be offering fashion advice from afar.

Daisy is also joining TV and radio presenter Mark Wright to judge the coveted Style Awards on Thursday 10 September, meaning the pair will be keeping an eye out for some of the very best looks making their way into Doncaster Racecourse on Ladies’ Day.

There’s quite a lot at stake too, with the best-dressed winner receiving a prize package worth £2,500, including £1,000 in vouchers to spend at Meadowhall.

The Style Guide forms part of a huge four days for Doncaster Racecourse, with the 2026 Betfred St Leger Festival running from Thursday 10 until Sunday 13 September and bringing together world-class flat racing, live entertainment and plenty of celebrations to mark the race’s 250th running.

But before all of that, there are outfits to plan.

And if there’s one thing we’re taking from Daisy’s guide, it’s that you don’t need to completely reinvent your wardrobe to create something special. Find something you already feel fabulous in, make it your own and, obviously, never underestimate the power of a really good hat.

We can’t wait to see what everyone wears.
