This is the story of two remarkable real-life women, both fighting oppression, hardship and danger in 1820s Colombia, who come together to change the course of a nation’s history.
The Other Life of Mary English was a really interesting read as it was fiction but also had lots of interesting facts in it. So I actually learned a lot about these two remarkable women while reading.
This was my first book by this author and it is very clear they did their research meticulously and are very passionate about what they write about.
If you love historical fiction based that celebrates courageous and interesting women then this a must read!
