“Be patient, be kind and take care of each other”
Louis Tomlinson in a video message to the people of Doncaster
Those are the heartfelt words from Louis Tomlinson to the people of Doncaster, his beloved home town.
Louis sent the video message via the city council’s Twitter. In the message he praises shows his never ending and unwavering support for the city he grew up in.
“Doncaster is known for it’s community spirit, Yorkshire grit and determination and it’s been great to see so much of that during this tough time.
Louis Tomlinson
He goes on to highlight the resources available to the people of Doncaster, encouraging them to help out the more vulnerable members of the community by volunteering in a varitey of different ways from answering phone calls, to delivering food parcels. He highlights that there are paid jobs available with the city’s social services, where full training will be provided.
He ends the video by saying he’s thinking of his hometown and is sending them loads of love.
Louis has never shied away from or forgotten where he came from, always being a proud ambassador of the city of Doncaster. The video which likely will be a much needed boost to the people who live there,as they all seem to love him as much as he loves the city, is just one of many instances over the years that Louis has supported the city that is such a big part of his life.

He is a massive Doncaster Rovers Football club supporter (as evidenced by the cap in the video) he’s even played for the club and expressed an interest in buying it.
The passion, love and dedication Louis has to Doncaster shows he’s a lad who knows where he comes from and he hasn’t forgotten, despite becoming a well known public figure. He regularly goes home to spend time with family and friends, quietly away from the craziness of the spotlight. He’s encouraged fans to visit and donate to local Yorkshire based charities like Bluebell Wood which he has fundraised a lot for. He has even filmed a music video in the city.
Louis is a one man tourist machine when it comes to Doncaster, bigging it up and showing the city love wherever he goes, making him one of the most humble and down to earth singers currently making music!
