Artists we cannot wait to hear more of in 2022

The music business was hit hard by the pandemic. Artists could not get out and promote their music by doing gigs. We found ourselves listening to a lot of artists last year as we waited for live tours to be allowed again so we thought we’d put together a list of a few artists that we cannot wait to see what they do in 2022.

Asher Monroe

Asher Monroe had a great year in 2021. He released an album “Talk with God”, two singles Midnight Masquerade and ‘Wanderlust’, both of which got airplay on BBC’s Radio 2. He also played his first headline gig in years in the UK. And plans to release his next album in 2022.

burwell

burwell has shared music as half of a folk duo called The Tide Rose and one-third of a pop trio called The Cheap Royals. Since she began releasing music in 2016, her songs have been placed in feature films and showcased at the Richmond International Film Festival. Firmly making her one of the many artists to watch and see develop.

Later this month burwell will release her track “anywhere but here” which is the first track from her debut ep, “boxes,” which will be released in loving memory of her Mum on March 20, 2022.

Germein

Germein is an Australian band we’ve been fans of since seeing them perform at The Ned a few years ago. 2021 saw the band release their single, the very aptly named “21”. Towards the end of the year the band signed with UK booking agency Solo, which could mean we could see a lot of Germein in the UK in 2022.

Lock-In

Lock-In released the best EP in 2021, it was the band’s debut ‘Boys Kiss Boys’. They did some live shows and have lots planned for 2022, including more music and gigs and we cannot wait to see what is to come for the band.

Only The Poets

Only the Poets have been on our radar for a while, but they are a band that continues to grow in popularity and every song they release just gets better and better. In 2021 they released the “Speak Out” EP.

2022 is set to be a fantastic year for the band, as they find themselves in the enviable position of supporting Louis Tomlinson on the Europe and UK legs off his world tour. Something that many artists would love as it’s huge exposure, and will lead to more people becoming fans of the band.

Ross Harris

Ross Harris is one of the UK’s fast-rising artists who has supported Liam Payne on one of his veep live streams at the beginning of 2021.

Not only an accomplished singer and performer Ross has also toured the globe as a drummer for the likes of Craig David, Busted, Sigala and Ella Henderson.

He released his “The DNA EP Volume 1,” in 2021 and his single “Cruel”.
