Lex Gibbon is quickly becoming known for releasing music that infuses playful pop beats with empowering but serious messages, her latest release “Love To Hate Me” is no different.

‘Love To Hate Me’ is Lex’s latest collaboration with writer/producer duo INK, who also worked on her single ‘Audacity’, which  was a prime example: a true story of Lex being intimidated by a random stranger, which highlighted the British Transport Police’s Text 61016 service.

Her latest single is once again based off her own personal experience. This time with haters on social media. It begins with Lex  painting a scathing picture of the type of person who targets her on social media: old enough to know better with nothing positive going on in their life.  It’s ending is far more confident and upbeat with Lex coming to the conclusion she just doesn’t care what you have to say about her. The track is powerful, but has catchy playful pop elements which make it extremely catchy and song that will resonate with many of us who use social media.

Lex says, “‘Love To Hate Me’ is a massive middle finger to all of the haters! It’s a message to anyone that may be receiving hate online, it’s hard to not get wrapped up in social media but it’s so important to remember that there is a big wide world out there and so many people who love you. At the end of the day there will always be some people who just love to hate.”

As an individual Lex has overcome a lot in her life and has managed to turn her own experiences in to something positive to help others. first curve teen model to walk at all of the iconic fashion weeks – London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles . Her songs are an extension of a time-honoured truth: a problem shared is a problem halved.
