No Chance is the debut novel from author Gareth Thomas.

A ROMANTIC COMEDY OF MISSED CHANCES, AWKWARD ENCOUNTERS, AND ONE UNFORGETTABLE TRIP ACROSS EUROPE.

In the summer of 1985, Will Evans sets off interrailing with one goal: win the heart of Ruby, the girl he’s been hopelessly in love with since university.

But with bad timing, bad jokes, and a rival named Tom Bellows, Will’s chances are slim. As they journey through cities, cultures, and chaos, Will must navigate more than train timetables—like growing up, letting go, and learning what love really means.

No Chance is a great debut from Gareth Thomas. Gareth is a fantastic wordsmith who draws the reader in with vivid descriptions. He has knack for effortlessly including humour in the story which serves to give so much more depth to the wonderful cast of characters he has assembled.

The humour is nicely balanced with touching and emotive moments which really capture love and friendship in the 80’s.

A great first book, and I look forward to the next one.
