Wendy Bevan has released her new single, Innocence, the first track to be unveiled from her forthcoming album Alone With The Unknown, which arrives on 18 September.

Produced by Nick Rhodes, the album marks the latest collaboration between the pair following their 2021 project Astronomia.

Innocence introduces the cinematic sound that runs throughout the new record, blending electronic textures with orchestral elements and Wendy Bevan’s distinctive vocals. Inspired by classic European cinema and 1940s and 1950s film noir, the song explores themes of love, vulnerability and self-discovery.

The accompanying music video continues those influences, drawing visual inspiration from classic psychological thrillers while expanding the mysterious world surrounding the album.

A second single, Fragile Times, is set to follow on 7 August ahead of the full album’s release.

The new music arrives shortly after Wendy Bevan performed the biggest outdoor show of her career so far, appearing at BST Hyde Park alongside Duran Duran, Scissor Sisters and Nile Rodgers.

Known for blending electronic, classical and cinematic influences, Wendy Bevan continues to create music that places atmosphere and storytelling at its centre. With Innocence now released and a new album on the horizon, listeners won’t have long to wait to hear where that journey leads next.
