JP Saxe celebrates a year with Arista Records

A year ago JP Saxe signed with Sony’s Arista Records, ( also the US home of Louis Tomlinson) headed up by David Massey and his team. And what a year it’s been for JP.

He officially signed with Arista on April 18th 2019 and thus began a whirlwind year.

First, he released a music video for “The Few Things”, which was directed by Val Vega, a song his ardent fans loved. It was the start of JP releasing a lot of music.

He then went on a 21 date tour as the opening act for Noah Kahan on his A Busyhead Tour in the fall of 2019.

He kept his fans involved with his career by asking for their opinion on his press shots, encouraging them to help him decide which one to use.

He released a new track “Same Room” in June. He posted a sneak peek of making the track on his Insta, prior to its release.

July saw this rather large photo of one Mr JP Saxe find a home at Arista’s offices. In what may just be one of the most amusing posts JP has made on his Insta.

He kept his followers amused posting videos of him in recording sessions, which while a bit of fun, showcased his talent as a lyricist.

August he covered The Killer’s Mr Brightside and we collectively lost our sh*t…..

He also released “‘Women Who Look Like You” Ft Guapdad 4000.

October saw him team up with his Girlfriend Julia Michaels to release the heartbreakingly beautiful track “If The World Was Ending.”

It was a track the world became obsessed with as it continues to grow and grow since it’s release. JP spoke about the track with celebrity news and entertainment site CelebMix, he discussed the writing and recording process and working with Julia.

November saw him support Jeremey Zucker on three sold out dates in Cali.

He did lots of press with Julia to promote the single, including a now-iconic performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Falon.

Next came a headline tour towards the end of January this year.

JP and Julia also celebrated If The World Was Ending going Platinum in Canada.

February he released his first ever EP Hold It Together.

April he performed with Julia during lockdown from their home on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

And did a duet with Lennon Stella when he supported on her tour of Europe and the UK, pre the whole world going in to lock down because of COVID-19.

It’s been a jam-packed year for JP full of music and we cannot wait to see what he does next! Let us know what you think of everything he’s done since he signed to Arista over on Twitter!
