Life and Other Happy Endings by Melanie Cantor is an uplifting read

Life & Other Happy Endings by Melanie Cantor is an uplifting read. That you won’t regret reading.

Three letters. Two mistakes. One last chance.

When Jennifer Cole is told she has three months to live she decides to write three letters sharing the desires, fears and frustrations she has always kept to herself. And at first, she finds that telling the truth makes her feel free and liberated. But three months later, Jennifer’s secrets are alive and out in the world… and so is she. As she discovers, sometimes the truth has a way of surprising you…

Life and other Happy Endings is a novel that when you begin to read you get the feeling it’s going to be an unbearably sad and heart-breaking read. You are proven wrong within a few pages.

It’s an uplifting story which encourages and empowers you to live life to the fullest. While it deals with some tough subject it’s written beautifully so that it doesn’t feel too heavy and remains a light-hearted and lovely read.

It shows Melanie Cantor’s skill as an author that she can deal with such matters sensitively, creating strong and believable characters that feel like they are your friends.

Originally the book was called Death and Other Happy Endings, the name subsequently changed, and we have to say the new title really does fit the spirit of the book more.

It’s a book that could start some interesting conversations with friends and colleagues. Absolutely perfect for book clubs. And one that you should add to your read list.
