Alexa Chung collabs with Mulberry to launch a capsule collection

Alexa Chung has partnered with Mulberry to launch a capsule collection.

Celebrating the luxury fashion house’s 50th anniversary, the stunning collection draws on ‘the aesthetic signatures of her own personal style’.

The Alexa capsule collection features two bag styles:

A shoulder bag named “The Alexa” which first launched in 2010, and was inspired by Alexa Chung’s carefree confidence and the timeless style of Mulberry’s Postman’s Lock accessories. It quickly inspired a cult following and became the most sought-after Mulberry bag This new Alexa collection features the classic silhouette, reimagined Alexa Chung in an exciting range of sizes, colours and textures. It comes in two very vibrant colours. Apple Wrinkled Patent and Denim Blue Tumbled Patent.

The second limited editon design is a compact clutch, “Big Guy” bag sees  sees the silhouette reimagined by Alexa in a range of colours and textures that meld vintage and contemporary influences to create a truly timeless piece. It’s avalible in 4 colours Black patent, Dark Chocolate Shiny Croc, Denim Blue Tumbled Patent and Tan & Black Suede & Patent.

All the reimagined designs in the collection share a go-everywhere, wear as-you-wish spirit’.

Alexa, commented about the collection: ‘I thought it was a great, quite rare opportunity, I never expected to be invited to actually design my own Mulberry bag, which is really a dream come true’.
