BAGLIONI RESORT SARDINIA: Gusto By Sadler is awarded Michelin Star

Baglioni Hotels & Resorts have announced the exciting news that  Gusto by Sadler restaurant at the Baglioni Resort Sardinia has been awarded a Michelin Star. It is now listed in the Michelin Guide 2022 selection for Italy.

Claudio Sadler and chef Giorgio Pignagnoli joined forces when the resort opened in June 2021 to produce a light, Mediterranean-style cuisine at the restaurant Gusto By Sadler. Claudio and Giorgio use local ingredients, typical of the regional cuisine which enhances their dishes, stating them to be “works of edible art.” The menu includes specialities such as Lorighitta pasta with Sardinian lamb ragù, aubergines, mint and pecorino.

Modern cuisine, constantly evolving” is Claudio Sadler’s culinary philosophy. His food features a sophisticated balance between traditional regional Italian cooking and the virtuoso twist that a chef’s creativity and artistic sensibility can bring. This vision finds expression in fresh, unique recipes that begin literally on the drawing board – with pastel images that enable him to develop his dishes with the perfect balance of colours among the various ingredients.

Receiving a Michelin Star is the highest recognition that a restaurant can achieve. This award, just months after the resort opened, confirms the success of the partnership between Sadler and his team, a byword for culinary excellence around the world, and the prestige of the Baglioni Hotels & Resorts brand.

Guido Polito, CEO Baglioni Hotels & Resorts congratulated Chef Claudio Sadler, Chef Giorgio Pignagnoli and Sous Chef Gennaro Balice, who will soon take charge of the Canova by Sadler restaurant at the Baglioni Hotel Luna in Venice (opening 2022).
