Singer/ songwriter Rosa has released her stunning new single ‘Stepping Stone’. It follows on from her previous releases Not Really A Friend, and debut release Tunnels, which was included in Spotify’s Life Sucks playlist ( which has 3.3 million followers) and quickly gained over 50k streams on Spotify alone.
‘Stepping Stone’ shows Rosa’s incredible ability to connect with listeners through her deep, emotive lyrics. Explaining the song’s meaning, the Hampshire native says, “I wrote this song in the middle of lockdown in my bedroom. I was doing a lot of soul searching as I think many people were at that time and I was reflecting a lot on the path I’ve chosen in life. It’s a path that’s very unsteady and unknown and it made me think how sometimes it’s difficult to navigate relationships around this. Sometimes it feels easier to push someone away because of not feeling good enough or like you’re a burden on them. You just want that person to be happy and be with someone that might be ‘better suited’ with less drama!”
