Butterfly Summer is roughly 7 hours and 22 mins of glorious listening time. It has you hooked as soon as it begins. As Toni has some very vivid descriptions of Ischia, which draw you in and really help you visualise the setting, and long for a trip to Italy.
As a story, it’s extremely well-plotted, with many layers and lots of emotional depth, from the characters’ friendship to the twists throughout. It’s an intriguing but thoroughly enjoyable summer read.
