The Deans List is an enjoyable read I need to preface this review with that. I love dark academia books and if you do to then it’s definitely one to read as the plot is fantastic.
The only thing i personally found that hindered me absolutely loving the book was that I could not stand the FMC Delilah. I liked Jude and found him engaging, so him and the overall plot kept me reading. But Delilah for whatever reason I just could not buy in to as a character and I don’t know why. I found her whiny, annoying and very teen like in how she responded to things and how she blamed her past on her current situation, despite her past not being totally to blame for everything.
But as a story I loved the plot and the Delilah issues aside Rachel is phenomenal writer and this book ticks many boxes for Dark Academia lovers. And I will be reading the second book in the series!
