Studio City Songs was a book I liked from the cover alone
. Then I read the blurb and knew I was going to enjoy it. Having interviewed singers over the years I really connected with the fact of one of the characters was a music journalist and was just fully intrigued from the first page.
The approach to telling the story gave me Daisy Jones vibes at times which I liked. At the heart this a second chance romance, it’s not meet fall in love and happy ever after. It’s messy, real and authentic, which makes it a throughly enjoyable read as you can relate to it .
