Westlife have announced some big news. They have parted ways with their record label EMI, and have begun working on a new album.
In a statement posted on all the band’s socials, the Irish chart-topping four-piece stated that a change in leadership and break down of contract negotiations were the reasons for the parting of ways. They did state that the split was entirely amicable and thanked their former label for all their support with their last album Spectrum.
The band then went on to say that they were back in the studio and had began work on a new album which is due for release later this year.
If that wasn’t enough to excite fans, they also announced that they’d signed a global partnership deal (details of which will be released soon), and will see them embark on one of the biggest tours ( when it’s safe to do so) that Westlife have ever done as a band. They will travel all over the world touring across five continents including the US for the first time ever, something which is sure to make fans who have waited years to see them very happy.
It’s certainly shaping up to be a very exciting time for Westlife and their fans all across the world.
