Tia Kofi Announces New Single, Debut EP and Headline Show at Oslo Hackney

Tia Kofi announces a new single, debut EP and a headline show at Oslo Hackney. Her beautiful new single ‘Loving Me Like That’ will be released this Friday 6 August.

Written by pop genius Bright Light Bright Light and produced by Gil Lewis, ‘Loving Me Like That’ is an infectious and hooky slice of 80’s influenced electro-pop, with lyrics tinged with sadness about the end of a relationship. Remixes for the track are to come from both 88 Ninety who worked on One Direction tracks and Toby Lawrence.
The track is taken from Tia Kofi’s upcoming debut EP, due for release in early September.

To celebrate the launch of the EP, Tia will be playing a special headline show at the Oslo Hackney on Tuesday 7 September. Tickets are available now from https://www.alttickets.com/tia-kofi-tickets

Earlier this month, Tia re-opened the dancefloor at London’s iconic nightclub Heaven, heralding the end of Covid 19 restrictions that have kept nightclubs closed for nearly a year and a half. Tia appeared on Radio 1 Newsbeat, ITV News and Sky News giving her views on the return of live music and clubs.

Tia has also been photographed in a stunning shoot for music & style magazine House of Solo.

My heritage is always reflected in my drag. My name is a play on the British phrase ‘tea or coffee, but I spelt my surname Kofi – which is a really West African name, so you’ve got both my British and my Nigerian heritage even in my name”.Being a queer person of colour really affects your outlook on things. A lot of people like me seem to think that growing up they need to hide their light, but for me drag is a chance to shine”.
