Wow, Let’s Talk About The 2022 Superbowl Half-Time Show!

The NFL Superbowl was a big talking point on the weekend, with the Rams proving victorious over the Bengals, winning the game in the last quarter. However, for a lot of people, all they care about is the half-time show.

A lot of people will have woken up on Monday morning in the UK and headed to YouTube to watch the spectacular 15-minute performance. And, we have certainly been blessed with a lot of incredible half-time shows over the years. Shakira and J.Lo did a great job last year, and other recent half-time performers include Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Coldplay. We have seen lots of legends grace the stage, such as Prince.

So, how did the 2022 Superbowl Half-Time Show match up? Well, if you are a fan of hip-hop and rap from the ‘90s, you were in for a treat. There was a lot of musical talent on display, with Dr. Dre headlining alongside Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary. J Blige, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar. We know Kendrick isn’t really from the 90s music scene, but his style meshes perfectly with the gang, so it worked really well.

There were lots of great moments throughout the performance, which took place in a big white house, with different rooms, and something going on in all of them. Some performances took place in the rooms, with 50 Cent hanging from the ceiling in one of them. Other performances took place on the roof, with Eminem giving us an iconic rendition of Lose Yourself.

It was great to see the NFL bring it back to the iconic hits of the 90s, and everyone sounded incredible. Mary J Blige brought some singing to the mixture, and a bit of dancing too. You can always get a good handle of what most people thought about the half-time show by looking on social media, and for once, Twitter was generally in agreement about the fact that it was an excellent half-time show. We are sure that a lot of people will be feeling pretty inspired this week, perhaps even downloading a hip hop sample pack and giving music creation a bit of a try themselves.

We are sure a lot of you will be watching the show on repeat. But what about the 2023 Superbowl? Who would you like to see the headline? Can we except another iconic rap group, such as Young Money? Imagine Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne headlining – that would be a treat. Or, will the NFL go down the pop route again? Maybe Taylor Swift, Adele, Ed Sheeran or Harry Styles? Maybe we will see something a little bit different, with a bit of rock ‘n roll or country?

Who do you think is going to be headlining the biggest stage of them all? Let us know on @TBHONEST_UK!
