Flow State is a state of consciousness where we look and feel our best. It’s a popular state of being among world-class athletes and performers.
In the new show which will air a new episode monthly, Dylan will set out on an adventure in his van ( and second home),fondly nicknamed “The Wolf”. He will be joined by some “friends”, who also happen to be world class athletes.
Flow State will see Dylan go rock climbing with X Games superstar, Olympian and skateboarding pioneer Leticia Bufoni, spearfishing with the explosive NFL star Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, speed flying with US Army Ranger Pearce Cucchissi, off-roading with Beach volleyball superstars the McKibbin Brothers and late night lobster diving with Mexcian-American actor Aaron Diaz.
Dylan and Firestone Walker shows us with Flow State that what bonds this unique group of athletes and performers together is not just the elite level they have achieved in their professions, but their willingness to push themselves and have a go at the unfamiliar, and embrace something new. They share a state of mind not only with Dylan, but also Firestone Walker, who continue to break boundaries and new ground in their pursuit of the perfect beer.
The collaboration between the Californian beer brand will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with Dylan.
His family grew up on the Central Coast of California, just 30 miles from the birthplace of the Firestone Walker which founded was brothers-in-law Adam Firestone and David Walker in 1996 .
Dylan recalls a six pack of Firestone being ever present in his Dad’s fridge. Firestone has been Dylan’s beer of choice since he was old enough to drink one. But beyond an affinity for beer, Firestone and Dylan share a spirit of adventure and a commitment to exploration.
This shared ethos and friendship naturally led to the sharing of ideas over a few beers, and subsequently the creation and development of the new series, which documents and shares these unique moments with some of the world’s most captivating performers.
Conceptualising and making Flow State encapsulates everything Dylan is a person and all that he has worked hard to achieve both personally and professionally. sharing unique moments with inspiring people, and his guest’s participation is a testament Dylan’s easy going rapport and willingness to jump into experiences with both feet.
The show serves as a reminder of the importance of seizing the moment, taking time to digitally disengage and try something new, and just how powerful sharing these moments, and a couple of beers, can be with friends. Flow State continues Firestone Walker’s commitment to adventure storytelling.
Over the last ten years Dylan has been pushing himself to the limit, training as a professional triathlete, while rock climbing across the Western US. He taught himself to produce and direct, while working on the set of A Star Is Born as an assistant producer Ravi Mehta to and producing Netflix’s Down To Earth and Off The Grid for his brother , actor Zac Efron who has starred in a variety of movies from the career defining High School Musical, Me and Orson Welles, Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile, and The Greatest Showman.
Meanwhile Dylan also been journeying around the globe, shooting and climbing, meeting strangers and sharing incredible experiences. This decade of adventure, embracing the unexpected and new friendships was the catalyst for Flow State.
