Dylan Efron is the star of a new show, Flow State. The first episode is available now on his official Youtube channel.
Flow State is made in partnership with Firestone Walker Brewery, based in California which shares the same ideals as Dylan when it comes to the outdoors and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to experience new things. Flow State is a state of consciousness where we look and feel our best. It’s a popular state of being among world-class athletes and performers.
The first episode sees Dylan go rock climbing with X Games superstar, Olympian and skateboarding pioneer Leticia Bufoni.
First Leticia teaches Dylan a few skate tricks, he claims to suck at it, he’s as Leticia comments in the show, a quick learner and is not afraid to try new things and even fail at them. Which is the whole ethos of his Youtube channel.
Dylan then turns he tables on Leticia and they had to Stoney Point where they go “top-roping”, a form of rock climbing. Which would be pretty cool if Leticia wasn’t scared of heights. She conquers her fear which was super emotional to watch and then see her try “bouldering” which is climbing without a rope.
We won’t spoil it for you. All we say is Dylan is one of those guys who immediately make you feel comfortable and safe, like he does Leticia in this episode and it comes across through the screen.
Over the last ten years, Dylan has been pushing himself to the limit, training as a professional triathlete, while rock climbing across the Western US. He taught himself to produce and direct while working on the set of A Star Is Born as an assistant producer Ravi Mehta to and producing Netflix’s Down To Earth and Off The Grid for his brother, actor Zac Efron who has starred in a variety of movies from the career-defining High School Musical, Me and Orson Welles, Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile, and The Greatest Showman.
Meanwhile, Dylan has also been journeying around the globe, shooting and climbing, meeting strangers and sharing incredible experiences. This decade of adventure, embracing the unexpected and new friendships was the catalyst for Flow State.
