To mark the end of isolation and the return of in real life music experience, The Standard relaunches its music programme with a series of events celebrating coming together.
Inspired by The Standard’s long and deep connection to the music world, the programme offers a variety of options to suit every mood. Situated in the heart of King’s Cross, The Standard, London leads the capital’s cultural scene with its own irreverent style and distinctive energy since its explosive launch in 2019. Housed in the historic Camden Town Annex, the 266-room hotel celebrates both the history and architecture of the neighbourhood whilst connecting to its future and the ongoing revival of Kings Cross.
So it’s time to leave your home parties and Singular Sound behind and go out out and get back into the scene that The Standard does so well.
Live On Ten at Decimo
Decimo is back, it recently played host to Harris Reed‘s birthday dinner. It’s celebrating reopening its doors with a series of live music events in collaboration with some of London’s most exciting artists. Live On Ten invites up and coming musicians to curate a month’s worth of shows for a weekly Saturday live music lunch. Situated on the 10th floor and accessible by the iconic exterior red-pill lift, Decimo boasts sensational floor-to-ceiling views of the city and a unique energy that offers an experience like no other.
Live On Ten follows on from The Standard, London’s previous live music collaborations with the likes of Kamaal Williams, Church of Sound and Dev Hynes, as they continue to celebrate London’s burgeoning music scene. Kicking things off in May is one of the UK’s most exciting young keys players Dominic J Marshall, a member of the Cinematic Orchestra who is now emerging with his own productions fusing his jazz conservatoire background with electronic MPC beat-making and a gift for sunshine soul.

Ongoing the music direction of the programme will reflect the flavours on the menu created by Peter Sanchez-Iglesias – drawing on uplifting forms of jazz, funk, soul, and sounds from Latin America and beyond. Also open for lunch on Fridays, guests can look forward to a menu that unites the Spanish cuisine of Sanchez-Iglesias’ heritage with his love for Mexico. Expect lots of flavour with dishes including chistorra tacos with black bean, marinated red peppers, Spanish tortilla and a dedicated section of meat and seafood cooked over open fire. These sit alongside Decimo’s extensive cocktail list that combines the classics with innovative signature serves, from the mezcal-laden Desert Rose with Mezcal Amores espadín, rose, grapefruit bitters to the fruity Xue Sour with Barsol Quebranta pisco, apricot liqueur, fino Sherry, lemon and egg white.
Standard Sounds Presents: DJs in The Library Lounge and Sunday Vibrations
The Library Lounge houses the DJ programme which celebrates sharing space again through inviting The Standard, London’s favourite musicians and DJs to pair up and create musical conversations with a close friend. The soundtracks they produce will create a warm and welcoming environment for guests to come together and share space, ideas and conversation over a drink. The Library Lounge’s intimate space, with its eclectic living room style seating within the atmospheric, book-filled den provides the perfect location for a laid back evening. DJs confirmed include Andrew Ashong, Nabihah Iqbal, Donna Leake and more.
The last May Bank Holiday will also see the launch of Sunday Vibrations, a monthly live music gathering in The Library Lounge in collaboration with London music collectives. Launching the series is the Total Refreshment Centre family, presenting the Yohan Kebede Trio.
