Some of the best interviews One Direction ever did

For five years One Direction travelled the world, touring, recording and releasing music. In that time band members Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles did numerous interviews. We’ve picked some of our favourites. So get comfy and be prepared to laugh, cry and be hit with tons of feels.

Mario Kart

In 2012 the One Direction’s lads were interviewed by some of the lovely people at the sadly now defunct Sugarscape. This interview is now fandom gold, racking up over 1 million views on Youtube. It’s full of innuendos, laughter and the lads being their entertaining and highly caffeinated selves. Our favourite thing about the whole interview? Zayn’s reaction to the entire thing.

FOUR Hangout

The FOUR Hangout was a live stream to promote the band’s fourth studio album, it was hosted by Ben Winston who worked with the lads a lot over the years. It’s  40 minutes full of a classic mix of interesting anecdotes and the pure awkwardness that live streams can bring. (skip to 1:15 for it start)

Toyota Vios

The Toyota Vios interview was chock full of the lads at the sarcastic best, and it also featured some absolutely brilliant musical performances from them as well.

‘Who We Are’ Book Signing

This interview was essentially the lads talking amongst themselves and doing whatever they felt like until one of them remembered that there was the interviewer in the room asking them questions.

 Carpool Karaoke

One Direction with James Corden doing Carpool Karaoke…. need we say more?

Interview with Grimmy

The lads did an interview with Nick Grimshaw ahead of a live lounge performance on BBC Radio 1. Harry was on vocal rest so had downloaded an app so it could speak for him. It resulted in a very funny interview.

Spin Towers

From 2011, this interview was just the band at their chaotic best.

Video Diaries

Ok so this one strictly isn’t an interview it’s all the iconic video diaries the band did while on the X-Factor, that made everyone fall in love with them all.
